What is Public Liability Insurance?

Public Liability insurance protects the AIR member from legal claims for compensation from other people or organisations where there is an allegation that, in the course of their visual arts practice, the AIR member has caused or contributed to an accident which results in injury or damage to property.

What is Products Liability Insurance?

Products Liability insurance protects the AIR member from legal claims for compensation for accidents caused by their supply of any Product, where the accident has resulted in injury to any person or damage to someone else's property.

For the purposes of the AIR members insurance, a Product includes any work of art or craftwork that has been made, supplied, installed, altered or repaired by the AIR member.

Products Liability Insurance does not provide any cover for damage to the artwork itself - if you require this cover then we can be provide this for an additional cost via the Artists Insurance Policy.
