Hencilla Canworth has been working to provide insurance benefits to members of the Scottish Artists Union (SAU) since 2007 following the introduction of the members’ liability insurance policy.

The SAU represent visual artists, applied artists and makers across Scotland. They are an artist led trade union committed to ensuring artists across Scotland can sustain their professional working lives and understand their rights. They provide information, advocacy, and support to implement working practices in line with the Scottish Government’s Fair Work Action Plan.

The SAU are the only visual artists trade union scheme for Professional Artists in Scotland. Arts Workers can join as Associate Members and there is a discounted Graduate Membership scheme. Members are provided with a range of professional benefits, access to online resources including contract templates and representation through our sub-groups, AGM and membership of the Executive Committee. Members have access to free Learning Programme Events.
